Since its reconfiguration, the African National Congress Youth League’s (ANCYL’s) National Youth Task Team (NYTT) has held a meeting to address “its political mission, terms of reference, Congress guidelines, and Congress roadmap”.
During the meeting, held on April 10, the NYTT noted its need to reconceptualise credible programmes that assist its efforts to deliver effective outcomes at the much anticipated twenty-sixth ANCYL Congress. The ANC has given the youth league a timeframe of three months to deliver the congress.
The NYTT plans to roll out its roadmap ahead of the conference with a one-day branch political education on April 12, the regional general councils between April 14 and 16, and official province visits.
“This informs the roadmap to assess the authenticity and legitimacy of structures. The Youth of South Africa cannot continue with an unending rebuilding while facing numerous socio-economic challenges,” noted NYTT convenor Xola Nqola.
