The African National Congress (ANC) in North West province will meet on Friday to decide on its preferred national leaders ahead of the party's elective conference next month, an official said on Thursday.
Provincial secretary Dakota Legoete said the provincial general council, to be held in Moretele, followed one in Rustenburg in October which received and debated mid term reports.
The ANC will choose its next leader during the December 16 to 20 congress to replace President Jacob Zuma ahead of 2019 national elections.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, a former minister who was previously married to Zuma, have emerged as front runners for the post.
