1. Seminar: 'Let's be honest about racism' hosted by the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation (AKF) Wits Society
Date: Thursday, 11 August 2016

Venue: John Moffat A1, University of Witwatersrand
Speakers: Author of The Origins of Non-Racialism, Professor David Everatt; convener of the Anti-Racism Network South Africa, Sean Moodley;the first president of the AKF Wits Society, Nhlanhla Lucky Nkosi; masters student in Psychology at the University of Pretoria, Janine Bezhuidenhoudt and Khosi Dubazana, Miss Earth SA finalist.

2. Sophia Williams-de Bruyn to address youth
Leader of the 1956 Women's March, Sophia Williams-de Bruyn will address the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation's youth leaders about women's challenges 60 years after the historic march to the Union Buildings. This will be followed by a panel discussion by activists around contemporary issues that women face.
