Ahead of its inaugural policy conference, which will take place between September 12 and 14, ActionSA has launched Policy Conference Public Engagement Platform to connect with South Africans on solutions to fix the country.

ActionSA asserts that the initiative underscores the ethos of the party, particularly that of affirming a wide scale public engagement process involving millions of citizens.

The party stressed the importance of appreciating the great social challenges that ordinary South Africans endure on a daily basis.

“As we approach the watershed 2024 elections, we want to ensure that we can put forward a credible, solutions-based offering that will inspire hope in South Africans,” declared ActionSA president Herman Mashaba.

He maintains that the implementation of proposed plans and policies remains the most important driver of change.

Over the coming months, the party will engage with South Africans on 11 policy areas including economic prosperity, corruption and energy security.

“Submissions to the online platform will be accompanied by events in all nine provinces over the coming months to engage South Africans about our policy offering. These will run in parallel to our extensive internal engagement processes, as well as a series of expert-led panel discussions,” Mashaba said.

The final policy offering will be adopted at the party’s inaugural Policy Conference in September this year.
