- A technology taxonomy for public financial management0.67 MB
Technology decisions involve making trade-offs, which are best done in the context of the end-to-end service that the technology supports.
Until now, there hasn’t been a common language to describe technology decisions inherent in different digital public financial management systems.
Our new taxonomy provides a common way to describe the two main parts of the software approach: technical decisions and delivery approaches.
The taxonomy can be used to understand how a country’s decisions could change over time and to compare approaches taken by different countries.
It also shows the choices needed to benefit from government digital transformation initiatives like Government as a Platform, Digital Public Infrastructure, Digital Public Goods and GovStack.
