International Intellectual Property law firm Spoor & Fisher is pleased to announce that Managing Intellectual Property, a leading source of analysis on IP developments worldwide, has named 15 of its partners as IP Stars for 2019.
The IP Stars recognition acknowledges the outstanding reputations of these attorneys in their respective practice areas.
Partners Lance Abramson, Tertia Beharie, Dina Biagio, David Cochrane, Craig Kahn, Mark Kemp, Hugh Moubray and Jonathan Whittaker were named for their work in the patents category.
For work in trademarks, Managing IP listed Wayne Meiring (Spoor & Fisher Jersey), Mohamed Khader, Jean Mclvor, Louise Myburgh, Megan Reimers, Eben van Wyk and Charles Webster as IP Stars.
Managing IP also rated the firm as Tier 1 for their Patent contentious, Patent prosecution and Trade Marks work, and as highly recommended for its work in Copyright and related rights.
“The recognition is particularly meaningful because it represents the views of our clients and peers. Moreover, the firm’s consistency on the list is a strong endorsement of the depth of talent across practice areas,” says Jonathan Whittaker, executive chairperson of Spoor & Fisher.
The IP Stars is a section of the publication’s annual report, highlighting leading individual IP practitioners within specific practice areas. Each professional is recognised as a leading IP practitioner through a selection of 1 000 interviews and surveys.
The IP Stars research covers the most active markets for contentious and non-contentious IP work. The awards are announced following extensive research conducted via surveys and interviews over a six-month period (October to March) by an experienced team of research analysts and journalists based in Hong Kong, London and New York.
