Corruption Watch
Corruption Watch is a South African civil society organisation dedicated to combating corruption through public reporting, advocacy and transparency initiatives. Established in 2012, the organisation provides a platform for citizens to report incidents of corruption anonymously, which are then investigated and, where appropriate, referred to law enforcement or other relevant authorities. Corruption Watch operates independently and works to hold both public and private sector entities accountable for corrupt practices. The organisation publishes research, analysis and case studies on corruption trends in South Africa, contributing to public discourse on governance and accountability. It also engages in strategic litigation and policy advocacy to strengthen anti-corruption frameworks. Corruption Watch collaborates with government bodies, including institutions such as the Zondo Commission and the National Anti-Corruption Advisory Council, as well as with other civil society organisations and media outlets. The organisation is funded through donations and grants from local and international partners committed to transparency and good governance. Since its founding, Corruption Watch has become a prominent voice in South Africa's anti-corruption landscape, providing citizens with tools to participate in the fight against graft and maladministration.
