Knowles Husain Lindsay Inc Attorneys Profile

Our vision is to be the country’s top litigation and dispute resolution firm, with strong and lasting client relationships, combined with success, that ensure our clients turn to us without hesitation to provide and deliver expert legal advice that gives them strategic advantage.

We’re a committed firm of innovative, thinking lawyers that looks to bring a combination of innovation and sound technical advice to all our work while maintaining total integrity. We strive to understand our clients’ businesses so we can execute strategies that best benefit their businesses today and into the future.  To support our legal skills, we’ve implemented world-class business practices and IT systems, ensuring our thinking strategy is backed up by sound operational strategy.

Our legal standing is borne out by founding partner, Mohamed Junaid Husain, having previously been appointed as President of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, the first South African to hold this position.  The CLA, which is headquartered in London, represents lawyers associations in 53 countries, representing just over 25% of the world’s population.  Its main focus is on upholding the rule of law within Commonwealth countries.

KHL is a Level 3 BBBEE contributor. We are dedicated to developing appropriate professional skills within South Africa while contributing to the economic and social prosperity of our country.  For more info, contact Xolani Njokweni, Martin Marx, or Ines Do Nascimento.

We have offices both in Johannesburg and in Cape Town. Our Johannesburg office is situated in the prestigious Forum Building in the heart of Sandton and our Cape Town office is situated in Long Street. Other regional requirements are addressed through long-standing relationships with correspondent firms in all major centres in Southern Africa.

We’re passionate about our country and its development.  We understand that we have a responsibility to put our legal skills to use for the benefit of those in disadvantaged communities.  We’re a voluntary member of ProBono.Org, a non-profit clearing house for public interest law matters. Many of our partners provide work without charge for deserving organisations and individuals.

Globally, we form part of Alfa International, the oldest global network of independent law firms, with 145 member firms.  This gives our clients access to unsurpassed legal expertise across continents, across time zones and whenever they require. Of course, due to our deep client relationships, we ensure we remain part of the team.
