It is with shock and sadness that the IFP has learned of the passing
of the popular and renowned SABC journalist, Mr Vuyo Mbuli.

The IFP's National Council said that his untimely passing is a loss to
the entire journalism fraternity.

"Mr Mbuli deserves to be praised. He was always a true professional;
talented, insightful and passionate. Mr Mbuli was an admired and
respected journalist. He will be sorely missed by the entire nation,"
said Ms Sibongile Nkomo, the IFP's Secretary-General.

Nkomo added that the IFP will mourn the loss of this great journalist
and a patriotic South African.

"He was not simply a journalist, but his life's work was for this
country he loved. His contribution was not limited to journalism, but
he was involved in every sector of our society, giving his
contribution of leadership to bring change, improvement and growth,"
said Nkomo.

On behalf of the IFP, Ms Nkomo conveyed the Party's condolences.

"Of course, the deepest loss and the greatest pain, is reserved for
his family. On behalf of the Inkatha Freedom Party, I offer the Mbuli
family, his friends and the SABC our sympathy and support. May God
comfort them during this difficult time," concluded Nkomo.
